Meet Our Founding Couple — Francesca & Adam

All the way from Shetland, Francesca and Adam are the Scottish Wedding Club's very first Founding Couple. We'll be following every step of their planning journey up in Inverness — from first fittings to the big day itself.

Their story, by Francesca

We got enrolled in a foot chase together, where Adam ended up ripping his trousers in the process and jokingly showed me his boxers! We gave each other glancing looks whilst working, and during his time in Shetland I made sure he could take in the sights of the beaches and cliff-top views I grew up with, whilst also getting to know him.

Soon after he left, we knew something was there between us, and we continued to pursue it with long distance and shift work. It wasn't easy — FaceTime calls after hard shifts and not being able to hug each other — but we soon made the leap of buying a house together, where I moved to his home town of Inverness and haven't looked back.

His family welcomed me with open arms, and we have grown to know each other in and out of work, helping each other through some of our hardest days whilst also bonding more. We can't wait to share all our stories with close friends and family on our wedding day.
